24 teachers from elementary and secondary schools, NGO and young community leaders from the cross-border region between Bulgaria and Serbia who are interested in teaching others about law, democracy and human rights participated in it.

They were taught how to conduct workshops to teach others the skills that empowers people to transform democratic ideals into citizen action.

The international trainers Beata Budzik (MTO, Poland), and Zora Cujic (School Bell, Subotica, Serbia) introduced the program and helped the participants to adapt it to the situations in their countries and to prepare the core curriculum.

The Street Law program will be run in 12 communities in the region.

``Community Works`` is an EU-funded project managed by the European Agency for Reconstruction, Serbia and PHARE, Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works of the Republic of Bulgaria.
